About the role: Merchandising Assistant
 

As the Merchandising Assistant at Smartech Retail Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting the growth and efficiency of our innovative retail spaces. In this fast-paced environment, you'll be responsible for coordinating activities across multiple departments, facilitating communication, managing logistics, and driving process improvements. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize operational workflows, helping our stores deliver exceptional customer experiences and seamless brand launches.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

Operational Support:

  • Assist in the execution of operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve workflow and overall efficiency.
  • Provide cross-functional support to various departments, ensuring smooth and coordinated operational activities.
  • Monitor, assess, and optimize operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely onboarding of new brands within critical deadlines for successful store launches.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the main point of contact for operational matters for your area, ensuring clear communication between departments and teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including retail managers and suppliers, to resolve operational issues and maximize store performance.
  • Build and maintain rapport with retail managers to support trade optimization and customer satisfaction.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Gather, analyze, and report on operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure timely delivery of monthly sales reports to brand partners.
  • Prepare regular reports, summarizing key metrics, operational performance, and recommendations for management review.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and new systems to improve efficiency.

Requirements and Preferences:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchandising, retail operations, or a similar role in retail or a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to driving efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Experience in process improvement and operational strategy implementation is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, or a related field is good to have

  • Location: Marylebone, London
  • Start: Immediately
  • Job Hours: Full-time role, in office
  • Banding - £30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on experience)
