This role plays an essential part in the Smartech team. We are looking for an experienced Retail Project Manager to plan, execute and manage retail projects and visual merchandising initiatives.
Objectives of this Role
Project Management:
- Plan and manage retail store projects, including new store openings, remodels, and maintenance.
- Develop project timelines and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct site visits to supervise executions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports.
Visual Merchandising:
- Develop and implement visual merchandising (VM) strategies to enhance the customer experience for every new launch.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure VM standards are consistently applied and maintained.
- Ensure onboarding and VM plans for every product across stores.
- Manage special ‘Hero’ projects from ideation to implementation.
- Report maintenance jobs to external contractors for Smartech and Brand Partners.
- Find and liaise with contractors regarding samples, prototypes, and fixtures.
- Work with in-house and freelance designers to visualize the created plans

You are a goal-oriented, self-motivated professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a dynamic environment—always ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
Leveraging your expertise in project management and visual merchandising, you work closely with the retail operations team, business development, marketing, stores, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You build robust and enduring relationships, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Well-presented, positive, confident, and a team player, you are the changemaker we are seeking.

The Ideal Candidate has:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Retail Project Manager
- Strong communication, project management and problem solving skills
- Basic knowledge of design, 2D drawings and Canva are a plus
